The Austrian Pharmacological Society takes part in the European Certified Pharmacologists (EuCP) Programme of EPHAR, the Federation of European Pharmacological Societies, and EACPT, the European Association for Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics.

The European Certified Pharmacologist (EuCP) project has been initiated by EPHAR in 2014 with the intention to identify individuals working in the field of pharmacology who excel in standards of education, skills, experience and professional standing. Pharmacologists certified as EuCPs have proven that their competency profile, in addition to their personal specialised scientific expertise, covers expert knowledge in all major fields and that they have experiences and practical awareness in a wide spectrum of pharmacological techniques. The system guarantees that common high standards are applied for this certification by all participating societies of pharmacology throughout Europe.

Further informaton on the EuCP Programme of EPHAR and EACPT is available on the EuCP website.

Members of APHAR who have obtained the diploma as Medical Specialists in Pharmacology and Toxicology from the Austrian Medical Association and who fulfil the requirements for EuCP Certification may send an application to the Austrian Pharmacological Society.
