Public transport: Nearest underground station: line U2 (purple line), station "Schottentor – Universität". Walk up Währinger Straße (about 5 min) or take trams no. 37, 40, 41 or 42 till first stop (Schwarzspanierstraße).
 

L a n g u a g e : All presentations shall be given in English. Primary mode of presentation is short oral communications. Poster presentations will be included if the number of submitted abstracts exceeds the number of oral communications that can be accomodated in the program.

*Reduced registration fees are applicable to students upon presentation of confirmation of student status (confirmation form).

Registration fees include participation at the scientific program, refreshments during the meeting, and the social program.

The abstract deadline is 8 September 2010
(Abstract Submission is open as of 1 July 2010, but preferably the abstracts should be sent in within 2 weeks before the deadline)

NOTE: At least one of the authors of an abstract must be a member of APHAR.

BMC Pharmacology, 2010; 10(Suppl.1).
 
Information for Presenting Authors:
All presentations shall be given in English.

Short oral communications:

The presentation should be 10 minutes, followed by a 5 min discussion. The lecture room of the Meerscheinschlössl is equipped for presentations with PowerPoint (PC format; double projections are NOT possible).

Poster presentations:

The dimensions of the poster boards are: width: 80 cm, height: 100 cm.
Presenting authors must attend their posters during the Structured Poster Sessions on Friday, 26 Nov (see program).

 

T r a v e l   G r a n t s :

The Austrian Pharmacological Society (APHAR) offers travel grants for students who are working in the field of pharmacology. The grants will be awarded to students affiliated to pharmacological or related departments in Austria (except Vienna). The grant sum is
  • € 250 for students with a journey >350 km (e.g. Innsbruck)
  • € 200 for students with a journey <350 km (e.g. Graz, Salzburg)

Download the grant application form (RTF format), fill in the required information and send the form by fax (+43-1-4277-9641). Forms must be signed by the applicant and the project director or head of department.

Grants will be awarded according to the order of their arrival.

Public transport: Take tram no. 37 (see map of meeting location above) in direction "Hohe Warte" and get off at the last stop. From there walk down Hohe Warte (keeping the direction of the tram line), cross Grinzinger Straße, enter Armbrustergasse, first right is Probusgasse.

Alternatively, you can take underground U4 (green line, see plan above) until last stop Heiligenstadt, then take bus no. 38A until stop Armbrustergasse.
